Venice -- was a magical place in the evenings. As in Florence we wanted a centrally located hotel from which we could explore. We stayed at the Hotel Flora which is located close to San Marco square on a quiet side street. The hotel has a great garden where you can eat breakfast. The hotel had a lot of nice qualities, including a very helpful staff and was in a great location.
The pictures below show the Piazza San Marco. In the foreground of the second picture is the Campanile (tower). The pigeons around the square are not afraid of people at all. On the bottom row is a shot of San Giorgio Maggiore (the only picture without Jess). The third picture from the left on the bottom row shows Jess standing in front of our hotel entrance.
