PREREQUISITES
A basic background in calculus, ordinary differential equations and classical mechanics.
TEACHING METHOD

Two lectures and a homework problem set per week.

GRADING

Homeworks, a take-home mid-term, and a final exam; the grades will be based on these (50%/20%/30%). Exams and homeworks include optional problems ("bonus" = extra credit). Homework assignments will be posted on the web every Thursday, and graded by students by next Tuesday.
